Plagiocephaly is characterized by the development of a flat spot on the back or side of a baby’s head. Experts recommend that one in every ten babies be evaluated for treatment. Cranial Technologies asked ATOM to develop from scratch the company’s next generation state-of-the-art high-resolution 3D imaging platform to diagnose this condition.
ATOM performed a complete redesign of the original system which included simplifying the assembly, creating a smaller footprint, reducing costs and providing a higher value clinical design
This next generation system lowered the time to process patients in the clinic by reducing image capture time while supplying a greater fidelity and precision 3D topographical map. This helped alleviate the stress on both the infant/baby and the parents resulting in a higher quality images and better patient outcomes.
