When the world began to shut down in March 2020, it didn’t take long to realize that CIRQ+, as a company founded on innovative, touchless, smart technology, had two options. We could sit back, ride it out and see what happened, or we could do something. We opted for the latter.

With a determination to bring back the future of hope, our incredible team of innovators went to work. The more we read the news, researched and tested, the more we realized we had the opportunity to develop something that could turn the tide in this crisis.

As our ideas and vision began to take shape, the realization that what we were developing wasn’t just a game changer for the hard-hit hotel industry, but for businesses, schools, restaurants and more. We knew there HAD to be more than PPE gear or “new cleaning protocols” in order to get people to feel safe and get back to normal life.

Our research involved speaking to the people directly affected by this pandemic and the stories are endless. Hoteliers, hit first and hard, were left no choice but to furlough their staff and keep operations at bare minimum to none. Schools and teachers were beside themselves in a desperate need to keep some sort of normal for their students while themselves being challenged to teach online and keep their own families safe.

For six weeks, we were guests at the beautiful Arizona Grand Resort, where staff graciously allowed our team to test and refine our latest innovation until we were sure it was ready to showcase to the world.

On Sept. 16, 2020, in the quiet and barely recognizable New York City, we unveiled our solution to the world: CIRQ+CLEAN, the ultimate smart room system. Our spectacular hosts, who know the world of hospitality inside and out, Glenn Haussman, No Vacancy News and Anthony Melchiorri, star of Hotel Impossible introduced us with great enthusiasm, knowing they are part of our mission.

They Introduced the first-of-its-kind Touchless Sterilization innovation CBot, which pairs with the CIRQ+ in-room mobile hub and discussed the importance of this device. Yani Deros describes “The vision was to create a solution that would sterilize the room without any manual labor to protect hotel workers and the guests long-term. CBot is connected to a CIRQ+ hub that is mounted bedside, with advanced occupancy sensors that will alert when the guest has checked out and enable the bot to come alive, moving autonomously through the room with a uniform and routine process to sterilize the surfaces and all touchpoints – doorhandles, telephones, remotes, light switches – all in one pass.”

“What I love about this,” say Melchiorri, “Is I made a 10-year career on TV catching hotels not cleaning rooms correctly. This protects my housekeeper and when they leave it protects the guests from mistakes that a housekeeper could make. So this product to me is what is the standard for not only hotels, but of schools, hospitals, everything.”

Glenn Haussman felt CIRQ+CLEAN has the potential to remove some pressure from staff “…it removed the human error from the situation while it empowers hospitality workers to their jobs, taking care of guests.” Additionally, he saw value beyond hospitality, “It [gives] all employees, whether you’re in an office, in a hospital, in a school or any other setting, a feeling of comfort and ease so we can all get back to doing what we like to do – being productive.”

CIRQ+CLEAN was developed in response to COVID-19, but this is a long-term solution, elevating the standards for health and safety going forward. “Let’s not forget this is not just about COVID – we have staph, we have influenza coming down the path, we have MRSA, all those things that our nation is now hypersensitive to because our psyches have been changed forever. So, this is a long-term solution that we expect is the new FF&E in a hotel and a permanent solution.” says Yani Deros
